Trip
To St. Louis
During the weekend of June 13-15 sixteen youth and adults from
First Baptist joined with 13 youth and adults from the Second Baptist Church of
Greater St. Louis on a mission project.
The youth groups collaborated with Northside Team Ministries in
St. Louis to assist in the renovation of two of its homes.
Painting three bedrooms, living room, and hallway and
"degreasing" a kitchen in one house and cleaning a bathroom, living
room, bedroom and kitchen in a second house as well as doing much needed yard
work.
We are so PROUD of our young people for the super job they did
during the weekend!
They made new friends as they worked and visited the City
Museum.
A slide show of the trip will run in Fellowship Hall the next
few Sundays.

Third
Sunday Each Month: Jr. Highs will be
serving lunch at the Friendship House today. We will leave the church @ 10:30
a.m. and return between 1:00 & 1:30 p.m.
The youth group is cooking and
serving a meal at Friendship House on the third Sunday of each month. FH is an
inner-city ministry sponsored by our American Baptist Churches. We are
considering splitting the senior high and junior highs on those Sundays and
having one group serve a meal at FH and the other group serve a meal at South
Side Mission, where Trey Winfrey's father serves as pastor.
