First Baptist Church Peoria invites you to a holy season of Lent: a period of reflection, repentance, and renewal. There will be an Ash Wednesday service and communion in the sanctuary on February 14th. Then join us in Fellowship Hall, beginning February 21st at 6:30 p.m. for dinner followed by a lesson.

The Pastor’s Lenten Book: Tokens of Trust by Rowan Williams

February 14:  Ash Wednesday Service with Communion, 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary

February 21: dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by Book Study 1.
Theological question: Who can we trust? I believe in God the Father almighty maker of heaven and earth.

February 28:  dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by Book Study 2.
Theological Question: Who is Jesus? And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord Jesus suffered and was buried, and the third day he rose again.

March 7: dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by Book Study 3.
Theological Question: What about the Holy Spirit in our lives? I believe in the Holy Spirit.

March 14: dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by Book Study 4.
Theological Question: What’s up with the church? And I believe one Catholic and Apostolic church.

March 21: dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by Book Study 5.
Theological Question: What happens when we die? I look for the resurrection of the dead.
